Our journey

Built step by step.

From a handful of lathe machines to an integrated group of foundries and machine shops, Yash Group has been built through nearly five decades of continuous investment, modernisation and an unwavering commitment to manufacturing excellence.

  1. The Beginning — Machine Shop

Shirish Sapre began his entrepreneurial journey under the guidance of his elder brother, working in a small machine shop with a handful of lathe machines — laying the foundation for everything that followed.

  2. From Machining to Casting — Yash Metallics

In 1995, an 8,000 sq. ft. plot at G-40, Shiroli MIDC was acquired and Yash Group was founded. The foundry commenced operations on 3 January 1996 — backward integration into Grey Iron casting, among the first integrated semi-automatic foundries with an induction furnace in South Maharashtra.

  3. Creating Room to Grow

A new one-acre facility at Plot No. 35, Shiroli MIDC was acquired to expand foundry capacity as Yash Metallics Plant 2.

  4. Sapre Auto Ancillaries

Sapre Auto Ancillaries was established to strengthen machining capabilities and support growing foundry volumes — creating greater value through integrated manufacturing.

  5. Expanding the Foundry Footprint

The adjoining one-acre Plot No. 36 was acquired, expanding the manufacturing footprint and laying the foundation for a major technological upgrade.

  6. A Major Leap in Foundry Modernisation

A fully integrated HPML moulding line was commissioned at Plot No. 36, adding approximately 1,000 MT of monthly capacity — a significant leap in automation, productivity and process consistency.

  7. Expansion into Ductile Iron

At the original G-40 facility, metallurgical and process capabilities expanded to Ductile Iron — opening the Group to higher-strength, technically demanding automotive and industrial components.

  8. The Beginning of Robotic Machining

The Group commissioned its first robotic machining line. Today, more than 10 robotic lines operate at Sapre Auto Ancillaries across component lines — enhancing productivity, consistency and supply at scale.

  9. Strengthening Systems to Global Standards

Yash Group achieved IATF 16949:2016, complemented by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 covering quality, environmental management and occupational health and safety.

  10. Sapre Autocast — Expanding Machining Capability

Sapre Autocast Pvt. Ltd. was established with dedicated machining cells for fully machined components, new product development and greater value addition.

  11. Investing in Renewable Energy

A 7.5 MW DC solar power plant was commissioned in Dharashiv (formerly Osmanabad) District — a major step towards renewable energy and more responsible manufacturing.

  12. Rekha Metals — The Next Foundry Chapter

In December 2024, Yash Group acquired Rekha Metals Pvt. Ltd., adding an ARPA 450 moulding line and strengthening Ductile Iron capabilities for castings up to 75 kg.

  13. Expanding the Renewable Energy Footprint

A second solar project of 2.2 MW DC was commissioned in Washim District on 1 April 2026, dedicated to supporting Rekha Metals Pvt. Ltd.

  14. Four Companies. One Integrated System.

With four manufacturing companies under Yash Group, SAP is being implemented across operations — strengthening real-time visibility, process discipline, traceability and data-driven decision-making.

From a handful of lathe machines in 1978 to integrated foundries, precision machining, robotic automation, renewable energy and enterprise-wide digital systems — Yash Group continues to be built the same way it began: step by step. Today the Group stands as a homogeneous organisation, aligned by a common vision, shared values and a clear commitment to shaping the future of manufacturing.
